I listen to music using the app/webplayer iBroadcast. Unlike Spotify, Apple Music, or similar, iBroadcast has no algorithm or social features. Instead of playing a monthly subscription, I prefer to buy digital albums and upload them to my own digital library hosted on iBroadcast. This way more money goes to the artists themselves and I actually own what I'm paying for.
iBroadcast's free tier is very generous with how much music you can upload; the only reason I'd upgrade is to support the developers. I highly recommend checking it out if you are trying to get away from algorithms and/or exploitative companies.
